I read and answer
the questionnaire about my expected academic profile and my conclusion about
all aspects considered in this questionnaire is that I need much more experience
and work on teaching practice it is because I have just thought a little time
and I need improve and practice on looking for materials that fit with the
level of students.
According to the
questionnaire I consider that I have to work on to identify particular problems
and needs and solve them, I think that I have this problem because of the lack
of experience on teaching practice.
I consider that I
have to work hard in many areas of teaching starting with lesson planning
because I think that lesson planning is the base for teaching development
because through that we, as teachers, have a clear idea about what we will
teach, for example: what strategies and materials we will use in classroom, so
I consider that I need more experience for planning because I consider that my
lack of experience, sometimes makes me fail on choose the best material to use
according to the age, needs and capacities of my students.
Considering all my
needs I think the best way to improve them is practicing, searching information
on the internet and asking for help and advices to others teachers and friends
who are working as teachers and who have more experience than me.
Sury, you say that you need more experience in identifying problems and finding solutions: this is exactly what you will be asked to do for your Servicio. And the experience you get from giving classes will hopefully make you a lot more confident with your lesson planning. You'll have to go back to this reflection at the end of SS, to see what you have acheived!
ResponderEliminarI am sure that this will be an exciting experience and I will do my best to help others with the experinece I will get.

ResponderEliminarHi Sury,
ResponderEliminarSorry for my late comment on your post :(
I understand you because sometimes takes a little more time to select the right materials according to level and age of the students.
Sury, these are the questions that I ask myself when I plan lessons… I hope this will help you:
• Who exactly are the students for this activity?
• What do I want my students to do and why?
• How long will it take?
• How does it work?
• What will be needed?
• What might go wrong?
The lesson plan format I write down:
• The description of the students (level, group, date, length of the lesson, number of students)
• Aims and objectives
• Procedures/timing
• Anticipated problems
• Material to be used in the lesson
• Extra activities (for the students that finish earlier)
• Homework
Sury remember that you are the only one that is in front of the classroom you could omit, adapt, add or replace the teaching materials and the lesson plan format/procedures.
Good luck and greetings.
